Ebay item 11/27/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-XK-Roadster/163963023080
Classified ad price: $64,500 seller gateway-classic-cars, 4k miles, previous location Locust Grove, Georgia.
Seller's description:
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this Custom, 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster. We say custom due to the changes she has been given - such as: a) no convertible top comes with the car -b) Power plant updated- to fit her 1970 rebuilt Boss 302 V-8 rated at 325-hp, mated to the matching, Boss top loading 4-speed - c) the chassis was widened to accommodate the wider block - all else is still Jaguar! The consignor states engineering was applied to modify the sub-frame by 4", and then the engine and trans were inserted in '14, and have approx. 4,300-miles since. He didn't go crazy with any engine bay dress up - outside of a Weland aluminum intake, valve covers, Holley 4-bbl, with a set of headers exiting out the factory look of a Borla 4-tip exhaust. The rear end is a posi-traction 3:54 ratio - and she will sound like a kitten purring going down the highway as you're cruising!! This Jag was repainted in '15 in BASF Formula Z40-60 Metallic Green base/coat /clear/coat, and will grab your attention - as this is a very soft Green that suites her well!! The chrome trim and bumpers appear to be original, and in very good condition, with minor patina on the bumpers and headlight bezels - but most people may not notice if not pointed out. She looks like a Roadster should - as the car has a wonderful color and shine, and the New Daytona 72-spoke wire wheels just glisten - she looks very attractive! So, think about how many will-at 1st glance, Think you have just a nice little British Sports Car - when under her bounet - sits a tiger!! With such advancements back in her day, such as rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear coil spring suspension - that early technology is what we take for granted in today's automotive world. Jaguar was one of the first manufactures to build a car that was not only fast but could handle curves and corners with ease. This Roadster is optioned with; vinyl interior, power brakes, posi-traction, am/fm/cd. This beauty also comes with an original set of factory wire wheels, with knock-offs, and original leather bucket seats [needs new covers].
