Ebay item 3/23/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $13,000 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers comment:
I am selling this for my Dad. He is closing his shop and does not have the time or place to keep this. I will try to describe this as best as possible. Please read carefully before placing a bid!Alot of money has been put into this car, people who know about jaguar parts prices will know what i am talking about. This car is best for people who know about Jaguars.

He had purchased this car from someone who had this sitting in his garage for years, so i am not sure if the miles are really 22,000 or over 100. The engine has been totaly rebuilt about 5 years ago but there is zero miles on it, all parts came from Jaguar, the transmission has been serviced and operates fine. AC works, and all the lines are new, new alternatore, front shocks, new carpet and mats, windshield, all the rubber seals for the doors, hatch, under hood and hatch are new. New exhaust, but the two rear resinators are from an alfa romeo. The car was not in an accident, chassis is straight. There were two minor rust spots one by the rear right wheel well and some by the front bumber area. This was repaired by a body shop, and the car has been re painted a year ago. There is a new gas tank, all the engine hoses, belts, etc... have been replaced.

The chrome bumbers could be re chromed but they are not bad. The interior is all original accept the rug. The interior has it's normal wear from age it would be up to you if you decide to have it re-done as well. This car has been kept in a heated dry garage under a cover. It has not seen the open road. It gets run once a week. This is not a car that you would drive everyday to the store.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
