i am a car dealer in south texas and i just traded in this 1970 jaguar e type ! it is all there and in complete condition. The body is very clean with only minor rust behind one tire and some on one door bottom but really clean for one of these cars . it starts and runs and drives, but it doesn't run that great or stop very good, i would not try to drive it home over a few miles. it has had a lot of money spent on it but that was years ago, the wheels are great but the tires are old,the motor sounds good with no smoke, the trans shifts ok to me, the exhaust is ok except for one resonator has some rust,the interior is good and original outside of the seat leather which is pretty well shot,it needs a new headliner , all glass is good, it has the original owners manual and some extra paperwork from tennesee in the 80s the car has some very expensive extras ,it has a complete sk racing carburetor set up and manifold that was around 2500 dollars and it has a racing header exhaust and a complete msd high power ignition set up over 500 dollars etc. but it isn't tuned right or something becuase it doesn't want to run right when you accelerate, i am sure that the right mechanic can sort it out , it has air conditioning very rare , power steering very rare, automatic trans, the paint is the original willow green and it is not to great, the chrome and overall appearance is pretty nice.
