Current bid $6,100 reserve not met, 5 bids, 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Exterior was taken down to metal. There is no bondo and any body repairs were done with metal. Painting and repairs were done professionally. Color Regency Red. Interior has also been professionally redone; new seats, rugs, header, and sun visors -- beige. Dashboard has been recovered in black. All gauges and switches on dashboard work except for the clock. Car has a new AM/FM radio with a CD player. The following has been done by a mechanic that specializes in XKES. New ball joints, radiator, gas tank and pump, new fly wheel, clutch, starter, electronic ignition, spin - on oil filter, and new rear main seal. The car has power steering and brand new tires. The a/c needs to be recharged every year. I am offering a five day warranty on the drive train. I have owned this car for six years and have enjoyed driving it. I am 62years old and 6'2", and find I am having trouble getting in and out of it. It is easy and fun to drive. It is also good on gas but likes the good stuff. It has been fun but it is now time for someone else to enjoy it. The car has been garage kept and covered by a non-smoker.

This 1970 Jaguar XKE 2+2 was manufactured on December 8, 1969 and acquired by the seller in 2015. Subsequent refurbishment over the next two years included rebuilding the 4.2-liter inline-six, installing new suspension components, refreshing the interior, and repainting the exterior. The four-speed manual gearbox was fitted with a replacement clutch, and additional equipment includes power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes, a rebuilt steering rack, 15″ wire wheels, an aftermarket stereo, and air conditioning. Receipts from the seller total over $60k, and approximately 2k miles have been added since the overhaul. This Series II XKE is now offered with refurbishment records, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Louisiana title in the seller’s name.
The car was delivered new in Regency Red and was reportedly refinished approximately four years ago following rust repair. Polished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with two-eared knock-off spinners and older 205/70 Epic Tour radial tires. Power-assisted steering and Wilwood brakes with cross-drilled rotors are equipped. New Koni shocks, a rebuilt steering rack, and other suspension components were also installed during the refurbishment.
The Beige leather interior has been refreshed with replacement carpeting and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning and an aftermarket AM/FM CD player with Bluetooth connectivity.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel with a Jaguar crest horn button sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, auxiliary gauges, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that the speedometer is inaccurate.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was disassembled, machined, and rebuilt from August 2015 to January 2017 by Classic Jaguar in Austin, Texas with replacement pistons, camshafts, bearings, valve seats and guides, ARP connecting rod bolts, and more as shown in gallery receipts. Features include dual Stromberg carburetors, a 123ignition electronic distributor, an aluminum radiator, and stainless steel exhaust. A new A/C belt was installed and the oil was changed 200 miles ago per the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. The clutch was replaced, the differential rebuilt, and new engine and transmission mounts were installed. The front suspension components have been nickel-plated while the independent rear suspension parts were powder coated.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists the manufacture date and factory colors, as well as the chassis, engine, body, and gearbox numbers.
