This beautiful car is a Show/Driver example of superb quality, and has a fantastic documented pedigree from new!

This 1970 4.2 coupe was originally ordered and purchased directly from a German Jaguar dealership in 1970 by a U.S Army Captain who had it shipped back to the States later that same year.

It eventually made its way to Palos Verdes, California and stayed with the original owner up until 2011 when it was purchased in California by our client (who has just traded it to us) we have kept the car in storage for him most of the time in a fully detailed condition when not in his limited use.

Prior to our client purchasing it had undergone a comprehensive restoration to Show/Driver level by Jaguar professionals. It has had a complete repaint in base coat, clear coat, wet sanded, and buffed to a high level. All systems have been gone through and the engine, transmission, rear end and suspension have been rebuilt.

A new stainless steel exhaust system has been installed and all of the bright work was re-plated.

This E-Type features an AM/FM Blaupunkt radio converted to digital with an i-Pod jack and in fact, won its first car show since restoration, taking first place.

It comes complete with the jack, owner's manual, service books, original shift knob, California blue plates, small California pink slip, and even the original personal import and bill of lading shipping papers dated July 1970.

It has lots (way too much to list here) of documented records and service receipts dating back to 1970 including the fully stamped up dealership service book to 21,210 miles. The current mileage of 28,047 is believed to be correct on this 42 year old Jaguar having been in the hands of its first owner for the first 40 years!

This 1970 E-Type would be an excellent addition to any Jaguar enthusiast's collection, as well as being a spectacular car to drive. It starts instantly, runs, shifts, brakes as designed...an absolute turn-key delight ready for any collection and hopefully be driven and enjoyed!

St. Louis Motorsportsinvites absolutely any inspection whatsoever of this car at our facility here in St. Louis, whether independent or a professional appraisal, a car club, even a JCNA representative or judge.... anyone you care to hire!

This is a no excuse car with perfect pedigree and all of it's provenance!

1970 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 LITER SERIES 2 COUPE 2+2: --British Racing Green with Beige leather interior, Beige carpeting, Restored, 4.2 liter engine, 5-speed manual gearbox, Chrome wire wheels, Matching Numbers, Well serviced, Long-term ownership, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. According to the accompanying Heritage certificate, this numbers matching E-Type was dispatched from the factory on January 19th, 1970 and sold through Jaguar distributor, Peter Lindner of Frankfurt, Germany on February 19th, 1970. Its first owner was Captain John T. Boyt of Sarasota, FL. Captain Boyt purchased the E-Type while stationed in Frankfurt. The E-Type was well cared for and serviced before being shipped back to Sarasota in the Fall of 1970. The Captain serviced the E-Type through Jaguar specialist shops in Florida and George throughout the 1970s. He even kept records of every fuel stop in the original Ward’s Motor Record Book. The Captain then relocated to California and brought the E-Type with him as shown on all corresponding registrations. The final registration with the Captain was from 1986. The E-Type appeared to sit untouched in a garage after the Captain’s ownership. It was at this point a full restoration was performed to return this 2+2 into showroom fresh condition. The 5-speed gearbox was installed during the restoration. Following the restoration, the E-Type was owned by Mr. Mitchell Markow of St. Louis, MO until 2011 and then sold to its next custodian in 2013 to Mr. Steve Zalesin of Westchester, NY. The E-Type was serviced thoroughly with Briarcliff Classic & Imported Car Service in Briarcliff, NY, making sure all mechanicals remained in excellent working order. Mr. Zalesin then sold the E-Type to its previous owner, another Jaguar collector who also serviced with Briarcliff Classic & Imported Car Service. A recent road test attests to the car performing flawlessly in every way, and it is indeed ready for immediate use and enjoyment. This E-Type 2+2 is complete with its original books, all service records, jack, wheel hammer, spare wheel and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
