This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II 2+2 example that is finished in maroon over beige leather, and it was purchased by the seller in 1996. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the seller has modified the car with a PerTronix ignition and a Double S stainless-steel exhaust system. This four-seat XKE is now offered in Canada with manufacturer’s literature and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in maroon, and various chips and dings in the paint. Rear mudflaps were reportedly installed by the original owner shortly after purchase. The car is equipped with a heated rear window, and the windshield was replaced in 1994 according to the seller. The rubber seals exhibit cracking, and a replacement rear hatch seal is included in the sale.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels with three-lobed knock-offs are wrapped in Michelin tires. Power-assisted disc brakes are equipped all around, with the rear rotors mounted inboard.
The interior is upholstered in beige leather, and the seller notes that the carpets in the driver-side footwell were removed by the prior owner and are missing. Tan Jaguar-branded rubber mats have been added to the front footwells, and the headliner was replaced under prior ownership. A blanking plate is installed in place of a radio in the center stack, and three-point seatbelts are fitted up front, with lap belts for rear-seat passengers.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary gauges and rocker switches are located at the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 1,300 of which were added by the seller.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and a block heater, and a PerTronix ignition has been added under current ownership. According to the seller, an oil and lube service was last performed in 2019, approximately 100 miles ago.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes areas of corrosion on the upper and lower control arms.
