Beautiful example of a 1969 Series-2 E-type 2&2. Imagine cruising in this beauty on warm summer nights!

This car is fully functional and could be driven on a daily basis if so desired. The 4.2-litre engine starts immediately, the automatic transmission shifts easily and smoothly and the engine’s throaty roar is unique to a Jag; once heard you’ll never forget it! Although XKE convertibles are more sought after, the 2&2 affords much improved leg room and head room. I’m 6-feet tall and driving this is much more comfortable and roomy than my 1969 roadster. Also, I find that the automatic transmission sure beats constant shifting especially for a special-use car. This car is fitted with factory air conditioning which was rebuilt with new drier, hoses and condenser coil and works perfectly. It also includes a Sony stereo system with rear mounted multi CD changer.

The car is painted Signal Red (basecoat/clearcote) with a black leather interior and is stunning! All chrome is very good quality, not show car quality but this beautiful and functional car is not being sold as a show car; it is for driving and enjoying! I have a low reserve price as I want this car to sell to someone who can really appreciate and use it.

1969 Jaguar E-Type is a numbers matching car with 84,250 original miles. The engine, suspension, and drivetrain have 250 miles since rebuilt by Jaguar technician in 2010. I have owned the car since February 2010 with plans to refurbish the body and paint, and minute interior improvements. The leather interior is original on this vehicle and in excellent condition. I began to fix minor problems with the car, but lower back and knee health problems have ended my progress. Minor mechanical items need to be refitted to the car (starter, heater hoses, battery, coil, and antifreeze.) Vehicle ran perfectly before the start of improvements were started. The A/C works and blows cold. The transmission shifts as it should.
