Ebay item 4/14/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $10k (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 9 days left in the auction, 71k miles on the odo.
Sellers comment:
1969 E-Type jaguar 4.2 2&2 coupe, automatic in very good condition. The car is driven almost everyday. The exterior has no body damage and the paint is a little faded. The interior needs a little restoration. The seats are good with no tears. The carpet is a little old but still looks descent. This car still has the original spoke wheels on it and has no aftermarket parts.
Vehicle Condition
This car is in good condition all around. It is driven everyday. No mechanical problems are known. The interior needs minor restorations.

Car returns to ebay 4/11/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1969-Jaguar-2-2-XKE_W0QQitemZ4630115835
Current bid $2,025.69, no reserve 4 bids, 6 days left in auction. Current sellers location Pine Bluff, Arkansas. 71k miles.
Sellers description:
I bought this car two years ago on ebay, from a used car dealer in the Dallas area. He represented it as being in very good over-all condition with no known mechanical problems, and was being driven daily. I took him at his word and got burned badly. I have a judgement against him which I will collect, maybe, somewhere in the future. My loss is your gain. If you ever wanted an XKE to restore, this one may very well be the one. Please understand, THE CAR IS A RESTORATION PROJECT. It does run, and I drove it home from Dallas, but did not know if I would make it home. The paint is terrible. The only good thing about the interior is that the seats are not torn. It needs tires. It needs all new rubber (windows, etc). There is no reserve price on the car, so please do not bid unless you want it. You can see from the ad that I am not pulling punches or trying to hide anything. I would not try to drive it anywhere. If you buy it, please plan on trailering it.

I am the current owner of this car and I'll paint it in January 2014. The original color was "Sable" and intrigues me to clarify why the previous owner chose this metallic orange that is equal to the Corgi Toys 131. I like this color maybe I choose to because of the good combination that gives the car. The story would be interesting to color the path of the car.
