Description:
Lot 078: 1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 2+2 COUPE
Van Dijk Collection, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (3rd October 2005)
Finished in light blue with navy leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in average / good (interior trim, wheels / tyres) to good (chassis, engine, electrical equipment, transmission, paintwork, bodywork) condition. Beginning life as a left-hand drive, automatic US-specification car, it was re-imported to the UK and reconfigured to right-hand drive some years later. In the current ownership since July 2003, it is said to have undergone the following prior to purchase from the E-type Centre: "new paintwork, conversion to four-speed manual, upgraded fuel pump / ignition, electric aerial, rear lap belts, Thatcham Cat 1 alarm / immobiliser fitted". Believed but not warranted to have covered 53,300 miles from new, it is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until October 2005 and historic class (free) road tax until March 2006.
