Ebay item 7/1/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-XKE-E-Type-/151073595540
Current bid $11,000, no reserve, 15 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
XKE 2+2. I bought this with hopes of using it as an everyday driver. Unfortunately, I can no longer do the work and refuse to let it sit in the garage and gather dust.
When I bought it, it had been sitting for a while. So I had the carbs rebuilt, the gas tank taken out, acid cleaned and sealed. The engine was tuned and the distributor converted to electronic ignition. The thermostat and most of the hoses were changed. I also put 2 new modern electric fans to keep it cool.
I had the bumpers and overriders re-chromed.
I changed a lot of the window and door seals.
I just put 4 brand new Dunlop tires and new tubes on it.
The car runs well. The front end needs some work as it all looks original.
All the electrical seems to work with the exception of the horn.
The interior is in good condition. The front seats have been redone in vinyl but the rear seats are still the original leather.
The body has nice Willow Green paint that was done before I bought it.

It could be a really nice driver without doing too much work.
It comes with some brand new additional seals, some chrome pieces that were not installed and some of the paint that was used on the body.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
