Current bid $10,000, no reserve, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. 81k miles.

    Sellers description:
The car resides in Portland, OR. No salts on the roads means it's a rust free ride. Mechanically speaking, this vehicle is as good as it gets. The vehicle has Dual Exhaust w/correct glass pack and chrome tips. The engine was completely dismantled and rebuilt with new waterpump, timing chains, rings, rod and main bearings, camshaft bearings, and block, with receipts (included with the vehicle) totalling over $10,000 less than 50 miles ago. A new master cylinder was also installed to complete the work. The work was completed by British Auto Service in Portland, where they specialize in vintage British vehicles.

The exterior is a dark green metallic in excellent condition, with great panel and gap fit. The doors open and shut with ease. the front bonnet fits well and lifts open with a finger. All the exterior chrome is beautiful with no dings or imperfections, pitting or rust. All stainless is perfect as well. All the glass is original, and delamination free. The car has all original chrome wire wheels with knockoffs, including the spare wheel with great rubber on the tires. All door weather stripping and gaskets are in excellent shape, with no leaks.

The interior is saddle leather in flawless shape, with no tears or rips. The seats have great compression, with no sagging. The headliner and visors show absolutely no wear or sagging. The dash is crack free. The doors are flat with no board warpage. The rear seats slide forward, making more room for luggage or groceries. The rear hatch area is wear free, all boards are flat and straight, with no rips or tears in the leather. The carpets are in excellent shape. The floor boards are rust free. The center console is in excellent shape, with all the gauges in clear and working order.

This Jaguar is not a 100 point concours car, but an 8.5 driver. The car starts everytime, the transmission shifts smoothly, the brakes are strong and solid. The vehicle is located near Downtown Portland.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
