Current bid $1,969 reserve not met, 3 bids, 6 days left in auction. 40k miles.

Sellers description:
This is an excellent example of a useable entry level Etype....The body of the car is is very good original condition.....All of the floors and undercarrage is solid with no rust/rot....The car has been painted in the past and I suspect that there was not sufficent preperation because the finish has cracking to it...The chrome is in very good condition and I have the piece around the rear window that is missing in the pictures....if I were going to keep the car I would treat the car to a nice high end paint job as the car definately deserves it

Mechanically the car is excellent....the engine has been completly rebuilt within the last 2 years...it starts without hesisitation with 50 Lbs of oil pressure at start up and idles hot at 30 Lbs....new radiator and fans have been installed and the car runs nice and cool...The 4 speed gearbox operates as it should..all the syncros are fine and the clutch is also in good shape.....The brakes all operate as they should including the handbrake which is unusual in these old cars..a new master cylender has recently been fitted....all the lights, indicators/directionals work fine....the horn works but has been wired to a seperate switch.....

There is a new set of redline coker tires fitted to the car and the chrome wire wheels are in very good condition...if one would spend an hour per wheel cleaning them they would come up like new

The interior of the car is in very nice original shape..the seats are very nice showing just a small amount of wear on the drivers side where one exits and enters the car.....it is not torn just worn...the rest of the interior is very nice....headliner is in excellent shape as is the dash top and all the instruments..

The car can be used and enjoyed as it is but would benifit from a repaint...one coulld certainly use the car now and paint it later.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
