Bought March 2006 currently tracing history as no documents came with the car and although a good runner needs some tidying up. Love the car so does my wife.

I now have the documents from the DVLA which proves the history bacj to first owner, the original reistration mark and two changes of colour. This only cost £5 and was well worth it. Now onto the JDHT for a full certificate. Car is going in for a full bare metal respray in July 2006 at which point I will put more pictures on the site.

The car went into a highly recommended coach works in Kent, England on 18th July 06. When the paint was removed they found that the two doors, despite looking good, had been repaired very badly repaired and had to be replaced. The drivers wing had also been badly repaired and so additional work had to be carried out. The coach builders have been brilliant showing us the work at each stage and letting us see and know what we are paying for. They have completed the passengers side and the next stage will see it when the first two coats of primer have been shaped.

J, looks like they're doing a fine job. Always a mystery what lies under a "good" paint job!

Roger believe me they are. The filler you can see on the front is all coming off and the metal reformed. I have seen several of their finished cars and the quality is unbelievable. one E type they restored reached £65,000 in an auction but the owner refused to sell.

Seats arrived and the drivers seat is now fitted. I took the old seat apart very carefully noted how it was put together used the passengers seat for reference and it all went together pretty well first time. Seat looks and more feels great; no more frame sticking in my thighs!!

Had the car professionally tuned by a man with over 30 years SU experience.....WHAT A DIFFERENCE...I would recommend it. Good news all parts were good with no sign of wear. Bad news carbs 1 and 2 were running VERY rich, carb 3 running very lean. On a rolling road she still has 200+ BHP. She now sounds and runs even better.

OOPS I managed to dent and scrape the passengers side on21/09/07. The other driver drove off and so I am claiming through my own insurance. Estimate is £4,000 of damage. She's now in the hands of Classic Coachworks again and I know she will be as beutiful as ever when she's finished.

Unusual electrical fault corrected by Sanspeed of Bexleytheath. The coil, insted of closing down when faulty, let through all the current and burned out the points. So usual checking of sparking worked on the coil end of the distributor. Coil replaced and distributor reset. All working again.

Short update since my last comment.
    1) Did the Radnor run in England/Wales in June 2008
    2) London to Brighton run 2009
    3) Jaguar Strasbourg run 2009
    4) E-Type club weekend August 2009
I've been doing an average of 4,000 a year since owning her and she gets better with use.
