Car was at auction 10/17
www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/jaguar-e-type-4-2-manual-1969/
Auction description:
The vendor has owned this striking E Type since 2012. The history file in regards to servicing is not the best but does include recent bills (one for £942.63 for a new stainless steel exhaust). The MOT history is very good and includes 25 certificates that go back to 1975 when the mileage was 61,100 right up to the current MOT in September 2017 mileage 79,910. That adds up to approx 18,000 miles covered in 42 years! On this basis the vendor is prepared to warrant the mileage. This is a matching numbers car.
Auctioneers notes: This is an excellent example of this exciting mark. The bodywork is in very good order and importantly it appears on visual inspection that the areas prone to corrosion are clean. The interior has that lovely patina about it and in my opinion I think it is all original. The wear on the pedal rubbers is in keeping with the mileage stated. We think we are presenting this car with a very realistic estimate. She also comes with a handbook, lube chart and copies of old V5's.

Right-hand drive, manual gearbox, 2+2 FHC
Matching numbers. Six previous keepers and 81,000 miles
Good history file containing MoTs dating back to 1975, Tax discs, invoices etc.
This is an excellent original example of a genuine UK-supplied, right-hand drive, manual gearbox with matching numbers 1969 E-Type 2+2 with only six former keepers.
Smartly presented in the classic colour combination of Carmen Red with a black leather interior and wire wheels. the car appears to be in very good condition with bright paintwork and excellent shut-lines. It further benefits from a stainless steel exhaust system and a Webasto folding sunroof also in great condition. The odometer indicates a recorded mileage of 80,500, which is supported by MoT Certificates dating back to 1975, and the mileage in November 2005 was 79,062 as recorded in the MoT history, so it would appear that between November 2005 and September 2018, the Jaguar only covered a total of 1,438 miles. Our vendor advises us that this beautiful car drives well and sounds healthy.
Accompanied by its history file, fresh MoT, and Heritage Certificate, this very useable E-Type offers everything you’d want from such an iconic model, with the bonus of a couple of extra seats, and is presented at a very realistic guide price compared to other similar matching-numbers offerings.

We are delighted to present this fabulous numbers matching E Type finished in Signal Red with Black leather trim. It has covered 80,000 miles from new with 7 previous keepers and is in very good condition throughout having been fully restored a few years ago. The features include new stainless steel exhaust, chrome wire wheels, 2+2 wrap around bumpers, tinted glass, sunroof and overmats. The history folders include current and previous MoTs, current and previous V5s, MoT Gov history, Jaguar heritage trust certificate, owners handbook and invoices. This iconic British sports car is reminiscent of the swinging 60s and way ahead of its time. It remains a very desirable sports car and very few cars have come close to its good looks and presence.
