This original UK supplied RHD Series 2 comes with a large history file with plenty of bills showing that it has been well cared for. It appears to have spent some time in Holland, being sold by Performance Cars of Brentwood in 1977, and the trail of bills shows it arrived back in the UK in the early 90s. It was then owned by a gentleman working in Saudi Arabia, who had the E-type restored by George and Greeves of Bridgend, with bills from 1993 to 1995. There are 15 MOT certificates on file from 1996 onwards when the odometer read 87,928. At its most recent MOT in April 2018 the reading was 2,671, so that all appears to be correct.
The Vendor purchased the car in 2011 since when it has been used regularly. It has had plenty of routine maintenance at Morris Road Garage in Lewes. Recent bills show it has had new suspension bushes, exhaust parts and distributor plus the usual service parts.
Although not a Concours example, this car presents well as can be seen in the photographs and is delightfully original. The Dark Blue paintwork could do with some polish in places, but the bodywork appears to be sound. The grey leather interior shows the wear you would expect for a car of this age.
Sporting a new MOT and with rear seatbelts already fitted, it is ready to hit the road for an epic summer road trip and everyone is invited!
