David says many parts are cleaning up nicely with very little effort. The whole heater assembly is ready for final paint. His seats only need the foam replaced and one rail repaired. When I asked him for more details he stated:

"I did not make much progress on the body of mine over the winter but worked on other fronts. Helen cleaned and refreshed the upholstery to like new condition. Only the seats and dashcover to do. I did sandblasting and painting of many small parts. I had trouble with my mig welder. Ultimately I had to replace the regulator.

In August, at members bidding, we hosted a visit from the Ottawa Jaguar Club. About 20 people came on a rainy Sunday to tour the project. Helen and I worked for three weeks setting up exhibits in the garage, the carport and the boat shelter to show parts in various stages of restoration. Very positive reaction. I have include some pictures. On each side of the body
you can see that i have acquired or made almost all of the panels I need. The documents show what was in the glove box and on the odometer to support the 35000 mile life so far. The IRS is ready for assemble. I found the right color for the "pumpkin" and the shocks."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
