Ebay item 11/27/03
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6,767 (Reserve not met), 5 bids, 7 days left in auction, buy it now price of $15.5k.
Sellers comment:
1970 E-Type FHC- 64,000 original miles, numbers matching, very original, garage kept, white with black interior, new parts include: wire wheels, tires, clutch, rear springs and shocks, front shocks, alternator, starter, oil pump, crank has been cut and new main and connecting rod bearings installed, timing chains and sprockets, rebuilt carburettors, factory style carpet kit, and door panels. It's not a show winner but the car runs and looks good with minor cosmetic blemishes and typical Jag oil leaks.

The bonnet on this car is very interesting in that it has the chrome trim surround on the air intake, but lacks the leaper emblems on the side. Both of these features appeared on the very late Series 2 cars which I think were all 1971 model year with a "2R" prefix. Having this type of hybrid bonnet on a 1970 car is very unusual, unless it is a replacement and not the original component.

A Family Passion - The Automotive Collection of Mark Hinton
Jaguar 1970 E Type Series 2 4.2 Coupe
CHASSIS: 1R27655
BODY: 4R23288
ENG: 7R10330-9
This matching engine and chassis number series 2 E-Type was imported from the United States a few years ago and is one of the last of the short wheelbase E types. Originally primrose yellow and now finished in old English white. The seats have been recovered in leather and the carpets replaced with the interior otherwise original. The odometer is currently displaying 69,000 miles travelled.
Sold with original jack and special wheel hub spanner and is a great way to break into the classic E-Type ownership.
This vehicle is sold unregistered.
