Car to be at auction 8/14
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2014-08-30/cars/1970-jaguar-e-type-series-ii ...

Auction description:
August 30, 2014 auction
Lot 325 - 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II Fixedhead Coupé
Chassis Number IR27245
Odometer reading 95,000 miles
Estimate £25,000 - £29,000

This lefthand drive, 4.2 litre Series II coupé presented in British Racing Green with black leather was an original California car imported to Ireland before undergoing a major overhaul at a considerable cost to the vendor. Works include a near nut and bolt restoration including new wiring loom, reconditioned radiator, clutch assembly, steering rack, partial re-trimmed interior and dash, bare metal re-spray and a full engine rebuild including triple Weber carburettors. The list of work undertaken goes on and on with the car recently being sent to Butlin & Sons of Swadlincote, a renowned E-Type and classic specialist to complete the restoration and sign the car off for the vendor.

Offered without a V5 Registration document but with original USA title and Nova certificate, the new owner will need to register this vehicle but with a current MoT test certificate valid until July 2015 and in such fabulous condition, it would be well worth the paperwork.
With the current owner having lavished upwards of £50,000 on this car and its restoration we believe this car could represent somewhat of a bargain for a potential owner, offered at a reasonable estimate, why not take advantage of an E-Type that is better than when it rolled of the production line back in 1970?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
