This car is in impeccable conditions and was acquired from the original owner by the 2nd owner in 2013. The car was always stored in a heated storage garage in Salt Lake City, Utah. The original owner put approximately 80,000 miles on the car before having a ground up restoration done to the car by two well known restoration shops. The mechanicals were done by Jaguar Expert Walt Osborn of Vintage Jag Works presently in Blackfoot, Idaho and formerly of Salt Lake City. The cinnamon tan interior is perfect, but what was done to it is unknown, however the leather seats are original but in perfect condition, body & paint work was done by Troy Lundquist of Troy Lundquist Restorations, Sandy, Utah who has done work for many prominent people in Utah including John Huntsman.

Per The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate included, it was originally Sable Brown and was changed to British Racing Green when it was restored. It was then driven approximately 4,000 miles before acquired by the 2nd owner who has driven it approximately 500 miles.

As the car hadn't been driven for approximately 6 months the 2nd owner had the following work done in 2013: Radiator re-cored, new hoses installed, water pump replaced, speedometer rebuilt by Nisonger Instruments of NY, Carbs needles and seats installed to stop gas leaks, new battery terminals and hold down frame was installed. Original radio was repaired to accommodate an iPod with connector as parts were not able to be located for a full radio repair. The 4.2 Liter six cylinder engine was rebuilt and the pollution equipment removed and Triple SU side draft carburetors installed but it is unknown if they were on the car originally. It has a 4 speed synchromesh transmission that operates perfectly and was likely rebuilt during restoration. Included with the car are, a California interior car cover, 2 new clamp on side mirrors, the original owner's manual, the original jack and case in perfect condition, lead hammer & knock off ring.

All numbers were confirmed as matching per the JDHT Certificate & by a Jaguar expert as confirmed by his pictures that are available. The car drives perfectly even at high speeds. The tires although appear to be almost new and probably only have less than 5,000 miles on them are 10+ years old which is approximately when the restorations were completed. The five tires are mounted on 5 new stainless and chrome wire wheels and the spare has never been on the ground. The car was appraised by Pinnacle Car Appraisers in 2013 for over $70,000.

It Won a Jaguar class award in August 2014 (3rd Place) at the Classic Sports Card Show in Park City, UT against stiff competition of many classic Jaguars from the Wasatch Mountain Jaguar Register, the Utah Chapter of the JCNA. 1st Place went to an off frame restored 1957 XK 140 DHC and 2nd Place went to an XKE OTS.

According to this E-Type's Heritage Trust Certificate, it was built at the Browns Lane Jaguar works on October 8, 1969. Denoted as a left hand drive Series 2 Fixed Head Coupe, the E-Type was finished in Sable over Cinnamon interior trim, and fitted with a manual transmission. A US market example, the E-Type made its way to the British Leyland distributor in New York, where it would be sold to its first owner.

Remarkably, according to the vendor, the E-Type is said to have remained with its original owner, an architect, from 1969 until 2013. At this time, the consignor discovered the E-Type in careful storage in a heated garage in Salt Lake City, Utah and was able to negotiate its purchase. Its long-term owner, Mr. Robert Halander, is said to have driven the Jaguar about 80,000 miles over the course of the its lifetime before deciding circa 2004 to complete a ground-up restoration, this work being entrusted to two well-known restoration establishments.

Jaguar expert Walt Osborn of Vintage Jag Works was retained for mechanical aspects of the restoration, while body and paintwork was performed by Troy Lundquist Restorations of Sandy, Utah.

During restoration, the decision was made to paint the Jaguar in the patriotic hue of its British racing forebears, that being British Racing Green of course. This neatly complements the superb cinnamon interior, a most fitting color combination for the model. Brightwork appears to have been re-chromed, while the Jaguar's matching numbers 4.2-liter straight six engine is said to have been rebuilt.

After restoration was complete, the Jaguar was driven about 4,500 further miles by its long-term owner before being sold to its current owner, who in 2013 completed a great deal of additional mechanical sorting. The radiator was re-cored, water pump replaced, speedometer rebuilt, while triple SU carburetors were installed.

Offered with its original owner's operating handbook, jack, and knock-off hammer, as well as two new clip on side mirrors, the Jaguar has most recently been a Jaguar class award recipient at local Concours. Resplendent in British Racing Green, it presents as an excellent example of the late six-cylinder E-Type Coupe, a model that looks like a great bargain today compared to its Series I predecessors.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe was purchased new from Schettler Williams Jaguar of Salt Lake City, Utah, and was retained by its original owner through a refurbishment that was performed around 2000. The original owner later sold the car in 2013 to the second owner, from whom the selling dealer acquired the coupe in 2015; the selling dealer purchased the Jaguar back from the third owner in 2024. The vehicle has been repainted in British Racing Green over beige leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes triple SU carburetors, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, Michelin red-line tires, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Philips AM/FM radio. Work conducted in preparation for the sale involved changing the fluids and replacing the ball joints, tires, battery, and filters. This XKE is now offered in Texas with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, communications from prior owners, service records, an owner’s manual, and transferable New York registration.

Finished from the factory in Sable, the car was repainted in British Racing Green during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior equipment includes sealed-beam open headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, side-marker lights, reverse lights, bright trim, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by rounded knock-offs and are mounted with Michelin X red-line tires measuring 185–15. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake fluid was flushed in 2025, and the front upper and lower ball joints and the tires were replaced.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. Interior appointments include a Philips AM/FM radio, a heater, a locking glovebox, a passenger-side grab handle, and black rubber floor mats.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 900 miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer. The car accumulated approximately 84k miles under original ownership through 2013, and true mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebuilt in 2013 and is equipped with triple SU carburetors. The carburetors were overhauled in 2022 and the spark plugs were replaced. The battery was replaced and the fluids and filters were changed in 2025.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, both of which were flushed in 2025.

A composite photo showing chassis, engine, and gearbox numbers around the car has been provided by the selling dealer.

A binder of service records and documentation will accompany the vehicle along with an operating handbook and tire-changing tools.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors (Sable over Cinnamon) and drivetrain numbers as well as a build date of October 8, 1969, and dispatch to New York.

The vehicle is being sold on its New York registration, which serves as the ownership document in New York. The registration paperwork describes the car as a 1969 “Jaqua” two-door sedan.
