This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe is a partially disassembled project that was purchased in 1996 by the seller as a parts car. The body of the car is finished in silver with a blue hood, and the black interior has been partially stripped. The engine and transmission have been removed and are not included in the sale, though the rear end and suspension components have been retained. Equipment includes knock-off wire wheels, a wood steering wheel, and chrome bumpers. This XKE coupe parts car is offered at no reserve by the seller with Georgia registration in the seller’s name.
The body wears faded silver paint with chrome bumpers and rear overriders. The seller states that the car was involved in a fire, and believes that the blue hood was sourced from another car. The hood is dented on the left-front corner and under the bumper, and the seller notes that two pieces of sheet metal are missing. The windshield and rear window glass are missing along with the mirror and handles for the left door and rear hatch. The reflectors, headlights, and tail lights are broken or missing.
Knock-off 15″ wire wheels are wrapped in a mixed set of tires. The mismatched subframes are said to be partially secured to the car, and the seller believes that the rear suspension components were sourced from another car. The steering system components and parking brake are retained, though the front brake calipers have been removed.
The cabin has been partially stripped, and the front carpets, center console, and right door panel are missing. A seat front a Triumph TR6 has been installed in the driver’s position. A dashboard fire is said to have occurred in the 1980s. The dashboard pad is warped and sections of the floorboards and spare tire well are rusted-through.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is missing the horn button. The speedometer is missing, and true mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six and manual transmission have been removed and are not included in the sale.
The rear end is reported to have a differential with a 3.54:1 gear ratio. The seller notes that components for the rear suspension are missing.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age.
