Ebay item 7/20/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-II-Coupe-Low-Miles-Highly-Original-/2 ...
Current bid US $40,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller jagracin, 26k miles.

Sellers description:
In 1989, this car was given to twin brothers for there birthday. Their father, a Jaguar collector in Plaano Texas had purchased the car in 1988. He had the car repainted and the interior re-done prior to presenting it to his sons. The original color was green, however the car was yellow when he bought it. The interior was tan. The brothers decided they wanted the car white with a black interior, so it was redone to their choice. The color was a correct Jaguar color and the paint was lacquer. In 1994 the engine was rebuilt and the engine compartment painted to match the car.

Since 1994 the car traveled less then 3500 miles and the current odometer reading of just over 2600 miles is believed to be correct. The vehicle ID is 1R26458 Ebay doesn't allow for the shorter ID numbers that were used on the earlier Jags

The car is a series two introduced in 1969. I personally drove the car from Tallahassee to Clearwater, with absolutely no problems.

Lot #72906

This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II coupe that reportedly spent time in Texas and Florida prior to being acquired by the current owner in 2021. Finished in white over black leather, the car is powered by a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and equipped with electronic ignition, a Clarion stereo, air conditioning, dual Stromberg carburetors, and 15” knock-off wire wheels. The carburetors were rebuilt in 2018, and work performed since 2019 included servicing the A/C, cooling, and braking systems as well as replacing the temperature gauge, clutch master cylinder, and heater box gaskets. This XKE is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a toolkit and clean Texas title in the current owner’s name.

The body is said to have been repainted its current shade of white during the 1980s and is equipped with chrome trim, a louvered clamshell hood, polished exhaust outlets, pop-out rear windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A dent is present on the left-front fender and door, and paint cracks are visible on the body, close-up photos of which are provided in the gallery. The horns were replaced and the right-side door latch was repaired in 2018, while the hood strut was replaced in 2020.

Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels secured with two-ear knock-offs are fitted with whitewall tires that are out of date, per the seller. A spare is located in the trunk. Service in November 2020 consisted of replacing the brake booster, master cylinder, and flex hoses.

Black leather covers the seats, and equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, a Clarion stereo wired to aftermarket speakers, a locking glovebox, LED-backlit dash lights, and floor mats. The center console lid, ignition and hazard switches, and shift boots were replaced in 2020. Service in May 2021 included recharging the A/C, lubricating the fan motor bushings, and fabricating a mounting bracket for the heater, in addition to replacing the heater valve cable-end and heater box gaskets. Wear is visible on the ignition surround panel.

A replacement smaller-diameter wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 400 of which were added during current ownership. A replacement coolant temperature gauge was fitted in 2019.

The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly sourced from an early-model XJ6 and features electronic ignition and dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, which were rebuilt in 2018 and have been modified with external mixture screws. Service since 2019 included flushing the coolant, adjusting the throttle linkages as well as replacing the thermostat and radiator hoses. Rust treatment was performed on both sides of the firewall in November 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission and differential fluids were replaced in 2018, while a replacement clutch master cylinder was installed in November 2020.

www.ebay.com/itm/125357667328

Car has a buy it now price of $60,000 for 29 days, seller duntov1, 28k miles, same location.

Seller's description same as above with the following additions:

This car starts very well and accelerates better than most E-types between 3500 and 500 rpm. It stops and steers straight.

This is a Happy Jaguar is is ready to drive, and the AC works well.

This is one of the cleanest etypes we maintain. You will not get greasy dirty grimy working on this car. Look at the photos of the motor compartment. thecar is that clean underneath. I dare you to find a cleaner Etype for under $100k, that is also air conditioned.

Also It has an aluminum radiator and polished Camcovers. Check it out in the photos.

You can take this car to car shows the weekend it shows up at your house!
