Ebay item 12/4/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1969-Jaguar-XKE-E-type-Beautiful-condition ...
Current bid $18,369, 10 bids 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Here is a Gorgeous, 1969 Jaguar E-type Fixed Head Coupe, Series II with Matching Numbers! This gorgeous Jaguar came from a Jaguar restoration shop that has been in business for over 40 Years. This was the owner's personal car and was his baby. He is retiring from the business and can no longer drive. This is a great opportunity for someone to get a highly sorted Jaguar Coupe.

Mechanically, this E-type runs and drives great. It has a smooth running 4.2 engine that has been rebuilt and has less than 1000miles on the engine. Under the hood of this car looks great. It features a fully detailed motor compartment and looks completely factory original. The manual transmission shifts nice and smooth. The car drives straight it feels tight going down the road and if you give it some gas it really takes off.

This beautiful E-type looks incredible from every angle. The cars paint is Gorgeous, all the chrome is nice too!! This car has a beautiful eye catching color combination which really makes it stand out!

The leather interior is brand new, so is all the carpet and the headliner have all been redone. The seats have been completely rebuilt and have brand new foam and Leather, they look outstanding... The leather feels very soft. The wood steering wheel is brand new too. The gauge cluster looks nice and clean and the dash is brand new condition.

Beautiful condition, as well as the being well taken care of by a Jaguar specialist! This is an original matching numbers car too. This car was obviously well taken care of over the years and garage kept. This car has the best of everything and is ready to drive or show and enjoy right now.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar Fixed Head Coupe, series 2 with matching numbers. In eye-catching pale primrose yellow, this car is a real head turner and looks incredible from every angle. It has a smooth running 4.2 engine that was rebuilt by the previous owner and has around 1000 miles on it. The engine compartment is clean and looks factory original. The car drives straight and is such an amazing sensation to operate; looking over the long, sleek hood makes you feel like you are piloting a rocket ship...especially when you give it some gas!
The leather interior is new from the previous owner. He had the seats completely rebuilt with new foam and leather and they look and feel terrific. The carpet and headliner have also been redone nicely. In 2010 I replaced some of the replica parts that were in the car when I bought it with true originals, including the steering wheel, shifter knob, and ashtray. At the same time, Dunlop Sport tires were put on the stunning 72 spoke wire rims; the same tires recommended by restoration manuals. They barely have 75 miles on them. The car comes with the original tool kit and jack, as well as the operating, maintenance and service handbook.

I purchased the car in December of '09 from the Beverly Hills Car Club. The previous owner operated a Jaguar restoration shop and this was his personal car. My understanding was that he was retiring and could no longer drive, which was why the car became available when I purchased it. Since owning the Jag, it has been garage kept in a smoke free environment.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
