This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II coupe that is finished in yellow over black leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a stainless-steel exhaust system, four-wheel disc brakes, and chrome bumpers with overriders as well as a heater, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Pioneer CD head unit. The car is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership, and following the owner’s acquisition in 2022, servicing in February 2023 included replacement of the spark plugs and fuel filter as well as the engine, gearbox, differential, and brake fluids. This XKE is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with partial service records, a car cover, and a clean Florida title.
The car is reported to have been refurbished under previous ownership which included a repaint in the current shade of yellow. Exterior features include a louvered clamshell hood, dual door mirrors, pop-out rear quarter windows, a heated rear window, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The driver door glass channel, window regulator, and chrome trim were replaced in February 2023.
Chrome 15” knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 185/65 Sallum Atreezzo 88H tires that were replaced in preparation for the sale, per the seller. A matching spare is stored under the trunk floor. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted units at the rear. The brake fluid was changed during the February 2023 service.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather and fitted with “Leaper”-crested lap belts. Additional appointments include a heater, rubber floor mats, manual-crank windows, a center console with storage, and a Pioneer CD head unit with auxiliary input.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while supplemental gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The radiator has been replaced and fitted with electric fans, and service in February 2023 included changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and replacing the spark plugs and fuel filter.
Block stamping 7R29919 matches the number on the chassis tag.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the transmission fluid and differential oil were changed in February 2023.
