Current bid $10,100.00 (Reserve not met) , 10 bids, 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is an original southern California Jaguar which still retains its original black California license plate. The original owner passed away twenty years ago and left his elegant cat to his daughter. She drove it occassionally until 1994. It was parked in her garage until this year when I purchased it. I had the Jaguar transported to a local British car repair facility. The old fuel was purged from the system, a new fuel filter and fuel pump were then fitted to the vehicle. A new interstate battery was added, the carbuerators were attented to and the Jaguar purred once again. A new clutch master cylinder was fitted also. I very recently purchased four top of the line Michelin tires which now have less than ten miles on them. The original spare rim still has what appears to be a protective cosmoline type finish. Because the outside of the body had some scratches, chips and other minor flaws I decided to have the exterior refinished to a high standard. The respray was costly, but evident upon examination that it is top notch. I had some of the larger chrome pieces on the exterior such as bumpers replated at one of the finest and most expensive platers in this area. The body before painting was in excellent shape without any rust or accident damage. The bumpers had minor pitting before replating. The factory airconditioning is intact but not functioning, possibly it will just require freon. The engine sounds fantastic, it runs very smoothly with plenty of power. The transmission shifts very smoothly in all gears including down shifting. I believe the mileage is correct, everything about this car feels tight, not worn out. The leather interior is in great condition considering its age. There are fine cat claw perforations on the top of the passenger seat.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
