Auction description:
An original one owner right-hand drive Series 2 E-Type, records show it to have been delivered by Malvern Motors of Melbourne in November 1971. The car has always been kept garaged in the Western District region of Victoria and was used by the current owner for over seven years as his daily driver, accumulating around half of the present mileage of 61,400 miles. The Jaguar was then retired and only used on special occasions. The car is still a joy to drive, according to the owner, who is reluctantly forced to offer the car for sale as he finds it increasingly difficult to get in and out of. The E-Type has recently undergone some work, including a replacement windscreen, new exhaust and the front-end ball joints. The vehicle is offered with the original sales slip, owners manual, service manual, parts manual. It is to be sold registered in Victoria and a Victorian roadworthy certificate will be supplied upon sale.
