    This car is known as the 'Rainey E-Type' or 'Joy's Jaguar' given the long term (45 years) ownership by the well known Australian/British racing and hill-climbing personality Joy Rainey. The E has some competition pedigree and was the first car that Joy competed in at venues such as Shelsley Walsh, Prescott and Goodwood. Joy went on to become successful in motorsport and the longtime record holder for women at the Shelsley Walsh hillclimb. Her story, and multiple photos and mentions of the E, are chronicled in the book 'Fast Lady - My Life In Motorsport'.
