- Desirable Brysons delivered 4.2 Jaguar E-type
- Superbly restored example by marque specialists
- Original colours and specification
- Part of a collection of fabulous E-types
As per the Heritage Certificate, this stunning example of Jaguar’s Series 2 E-type coupe rolled out of the Browns Lane factory on August 19, 1969 and was originally delivered through Sydney agent Brysons the following month finished in the same colours it wears today, namely the desirable combination of British Racing Green with Cinnamon upholstery. Backed by a fully documented history for the past 25 years, the Jaguar has been with the current owners since 2008, forming part of a select collection of E-types housed in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Comprehensively restored to a very high standard, the body was stripped back to bare metal and repainted and the interior completely re-done to match the original (including seats, carpets, headlining, visors and dash). Marque specialist Graeme Lord handled the mechanical restoration, rebuilding the engine, gearbox and diff in 2013 and the car has done less than 4,000 miles since completion. Parts were sourced from the best suppliers available, including Welsh Enterprises, V & A Spiteri, JagDaim and Jagara. Other noteworthy features included a new Bell stainless steel exhaust system and five Dayton chrome double laced wire wheels with stainless steel spokes. Expertly maintained by Graeme Lord ever since, the Jaguar’s braking system was recently completely rebuilt and the car really does start ‘on the button’, running and driving superbly. What must be one of the finest E-types to come on the open market in recent times and unquestionably one of the best we’ve had the pleasure of selling at Shannons, this delightful car comes with the tool roll, jack (with matching bag), mallet and wheel spanner, manuals and spare parts handbook plus a set of custom-made rubber floor mats to protect the carpet. Additionally, there are two lever-arch files of receipts and a number of spare parts included, along with sundry items like the original ID plate. Currently registered on non-transferable historic plates in NSW, the Jaguar will therefore be sold unregistered.
