Ebay item 11/13/10
cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAGUAR-E-TYPE-SERIES-2-ROADSTER-/190467291247
Asking price £29,950

Sellers description:
Let me tell you about CDA444H. UK right hand drive car, all matching numbers, 13,500 miles, 1 previous owner.

Jaguar heritage confirm this is a UK car with all the correct numbers.

I have some paperwork and a couple of old mot's from the mid 90's stating the mileage. I also have 2 valuations on the car 1 from 1990 which values it at £37,500 and another from 1985 which values it at £10,500 but also states that in excess of £1,600 was spent on the engine. This was a lot for an E type in those days.

From what I was told by the people who were selling it on behalf of the owner the car has been stored from 2000 and was only used very rarely by the owner before that.

Normally I would be completing the restoration myself but a change in my job will be taking me away a lot this winter. I have made a list of the things to do to make it a £45k+ car and the things I have already done.

To do; Ideally a re-spray, I have driven the car all summer, the paint work is old and tired but serviceable. Welding on the bottom edges of the bonnet near the bulkhead you could fill them (which I did to just drive around in) but a lasting job is to weld. Likewise the drivers door. Neither are bad and don't need complete panels replacing. Interior carpets (easy job) The only thing missing on the car is the boot mat.

Done; Complete fluid and grease service. 4 new P6 tyres. Front shocks. Nose cone welded. New floor pans. This was all done for the mot so I could drive it all summer (mot'd until june next year 2011)

This car is the tightest E type I have ever driven, it's like she left browns lane last month!

This is not an auction or for someone to get a steal, if I dont get the sort of money it's worth I will keep it, quite simply. Remember this is a very rare 1 owner low mileage E and as I said they are very hard to find these days unless you're paying over 50K

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
