Ebay item 4/24/07

Current bid $8,678.95 reserve not met, 6 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is a Southern California Car - but there is some rust in the floor panels and trunk. This vehicle has had a new paint job about a year AGO to this beautiful RED.

The engine bay has a nice look to it. In great condition, this car was garage kept most of the time, and it drives very well, with plenty of power with its 6-cylinders and 4.2 liter engine. The transmission shifts smoothly and correctly, it is very responsive. The exterior was restored but the interior needs some upholstery and electrical work since the heater doesn’t work, the rear backup lights need to be wired, and the clock needs a fresh battery. The brakes are good and the rear oil seal was replaced some time ago. It has, however the typical XKE oil leak which needs to be tended to. The top, although repaired for a minor leak goes up and down very easily. This car was never involved in an accident and was driven by a non-smoker. The present owner is the second owner who purchased this beauty in 1988 and as far as he is concerned, the odometer show the original miles.

This vehicle was maintained by a well known JAG mechanic and all maintenance records are available upon request. All in all, it's in great mechanical condition.

With a little bit of tender loving care and some work, this car may be restored to its original classic outstanding look and performance.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
