This 1970 Jaguar XKE roadster is a Series II example that was purchased by the seller’s father in 2003 and acquired by the seller in April 2018. The car is finished in white over a black leather interior and features a black soft top. Power is from a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes wire wheels, an aftermarket Alpine stereo, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Maintenance in 2018 consisted of a new fuel tank, fuel lines, brake booster, and brake master cylinder, as well as rebuilding the carburetors and cleaning the brake and clutch lines. This XKE is now being offered with a spare tire and transferable Connecticut registration.
15″ wire wheels wear Michelin tires that are said to be approximately 10 years old, and a full-sized spare is located in the trunk. The brake lines were cleaned in December 2018, and a new brake master cylinder and booster were also installed at that time. The reupholstered interior is trimmed in black leather with matching carpets, dashboard, and door panels. A black boot cover is included.Interior equipment includes a wood-rimmed steering wheel and shifter knob, Smiths instrumentation, and an aftermarket Alpine cassette deck. The 5-digit odometer shows 68k miles, less than 100 of which have been added by the seller. The 4.2-liter twin-cam six is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Maintenance performed in December 2018 included a new fuel tank, new fuel lines, cleaning of the clutch lines, and rebuilds of the carburetors.
