Current bid $7,100 reserve not met, 16 bids 2 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
28 year barn find!! This 1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster was parked in a barn for 28 years before we retrieved it. The car needs total restoration but it is a straight example with minimal rust and great potential. The car is fitted with wire wheels and a four speed transmission. The car appears to be complete minus the exhaust system. It is assembled and rolls but it does not run. It will likely require a complete re-build. We just had the body sand blasted down to the metal so a buyer can see what they are getting. The original color of the car appears to be silver. The chrome, trim, glass, dash and console all look decent. There are a couple of rust holes on one of the doors but the car has minimal rust. The miles read 42,000 + believed to be accurate but not guaranteed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
