Buy it now price $20k (not an auction)

Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster convertible. A classic collectible exotic. This is an all original car with Air Conditioning. Vehicle is located on the central coast in California. It is equipped with a 4.2 liter 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission. Engine starts and runs with no smoke or leaks that I can see. But due to 12 years of being in storage (indoor) it is going to need some restoration to get it roadworthy. Does currently move under its own power. Brakes are bad though, so it will need to by transported to its new home by trailer or ? All glass is good and all gauges seem to work other than the clock. Body is in very solid condition but will need a complete paint job. The paint is checking all over, but there is NO RUST. Overall this is a excellent candidate for restoration or just do some mechanical repairs and drive as is.

We got this car after 12 years in storage, we had to remove and restore the gas tank, and put a new battery in the car. Amazingly the car started right up and runs well, engine and cooling system will need to be flushed due to the years in storage, runs a little on the warm side after warming up, does not seem to have a blown head gasket and the engine does have good compression.

Manufactured by Jaguar Cars in March 1970.
VIN 1R13096
Odometer = 80,458 Miles

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
