With this number , it has to be an S2 and not an S 1.5 . Photographs, details of interior trim , and engine/body numbers would be even more helpful in protecting anyone who finds this offered to them for sale, as would a police telephone number for immediate contact . They usually provide these with the crime number

Recovered and restored. Currently for sale at Merlin Classic Cars of Stockport. Described as a stunning series 2 E Type, it was restored with no expense spared and has only completed 800 miles since. The suspension and engine, along with the carburettors and engine bay ancillaries were fully rebuilt. All bearings and brushes were replaced and it was professionally retuned to obtain peak performance.
Front end damage has been repaired with a new bonnet fitted and the car was fully re-sprayed inside and out. It has been re-trimmed in black leather and a new mohair hood fitted with tonneau and hood covers. Fitted with new chrome wire wheels and tyres, shock absorbers and larger brakes to the front. The restoration by Merlin Classics took 18 months to complete and it is finished to the highest standards.
The history file contains a full photographic record of the restoration, service history and record of invoices detailing expenditure. A beautiful and stunning vehicle that must be seen to be appreciated. For sale on behalf of a customer. Offers in the region of £110,000.
