At Brooklands auction 30th November 2013
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-11-30/car/1969-jaguar-e-type-series-ii- ...

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster

Odometer reading 38,600 miles
Estimate £48,000 - £56,000

This lefthand drive 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster with the 4.2 litre engine and manual gearbox was first supplied by the Jaguar main agents in New York and ended up in Delaware. A full ground up restoration was completed in the USA between 2010 and 2012 at a cost in excess of £68,000 which was comprehensively undertaken with a full photographic record, after which time the car was imported into the UK earlier this year. Finished in masons black with black mohair roof and tan leather interior, this Series II E-Type is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in May 2014, a Heritage certificate, an extensive history folder and photographic record of the mechanical restoration all of which points to a sound and well-looked after example of what Enzo Ferrari called, 'the most beautiful car in the world'.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
