Here is an honest description of this beautiful car. IT has had many upgrades and numerous parts replaced in the last few years amounting to over 20,000 in repairs. It has recent rear shocks, stainless steel exhaust, clutch, brakes, fan motors, cap, wires, paint,chrome work,tires,etc,etc in short EVERYTHING WORKS. The keys ,the lights , the gauges, everything. Did you just read that last statement? I can not believe that I just wrote that about a 39 year old XKE.The car starts and runs at the twist of the key ,the brakes and clutch work and feel great,the motor has the typical sound of the overhead cam tappets,there is no smoke or low oil pressure, the trans is quiet and shifts good although these aren't really speed shift cars, this car can sit and idle with the AIR CONDITIONING ON and not get past the middle on the temperature gauge !this car is very fast and quick . The pictures speak for themselves, this is a really sharp car .The paint is 6 or 7 years old but is very nice outside of a few chips here and there,obviously the car was painted by someone very good and the car was disassembled externally when painted so there isn't any overspray on the rubber etc. this car was originally british racing green and I don't usually like a car that has been color changed but I gotta say that this car in this color is awesome and I can accept it becase of the quality of the work.They painted the trunk area,the door jams,under the bonnet, etc but the front frame cages are still the original green that has faded to look almost black,and you will have to really be an expert to detect the color change. If you want to buy a jag that you can truthfully drive home in after you buy it without any fears of mechanical problems I believe this is the car for you and it is absolutely beautiful. The interior is in extremely nice original condition,the seats appear to be the original leather! the dash and all are very nice,the carpets are replaced but look correct,glass is all great,the original radio console comes with the car as it was removed to make room for the current radio and not cut up the original part. It is really hot in the south and I know that some people will not appreciate the add on ac vents but they look great and again the air cond works like a modern car !The lady told me she paid 7500 for the ac work !! The body is RUST FREE under neath and the only damage i can find is the bottom front of the passenger floor pan is dented up, which you can't see and it does not affect anything. I do not like the steering wheel but if you are a little plump you can get in and out of this car with ease,the original steering wheels are available for around 300 dollars and I intended to get one but I never got around to it. This car will show well in the driven class at any jaguar club meeting.
