Ebay item 1/15
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-JAGUAR-XKE-ROADSTER-SERIES-II-MATCHING-NUMBERS-SUPERB-REST ...
Auction was ended early. 94k miles.

1969 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster which I have owned for 33 years. The Jaguar was purchased in the St. Louis, Missouri area in 1982 with 77,466 miles on the odometer. I garaged the Jaguar and drove it in bright sunny weather in its original condition for fifteen years. In 1997 the XKE began a multiyear restoration project. The body work was done by a professional restoration shop in Illinois and took 18 months with 452 hours in labor.

The body was sanded to bare metal. All defective panels were replaced with O.E.M. material and the chrome trim and bumpers were replaced or restored to new.

The body was painted Primrose Yellow and then clear coated. Starting in July of 2000 the XKE underwent a 18 month full interior restoration including trunk and engine bay by Bassett Jaguar of Wyoming, RI. to bring it to show condition standards. In 2009, the engine and clutch received a total rebuild to a better than factory condition by professional shops here on Cape Cod. The engine has 1400 miles since rebuild.

I have all receipts for the labor and materials dating back to 1982. Please look at the many recent pictures of the Jaguar plus some of the pictures of the restoration
process in detail. This roadster is beautiful to look at and a dream to drive.

Car returns to ebay 3/2/24

www.ebay.com/itm/145641520753

Car has a buy it now price of $99,800 for 29 days, seller Classic Promenade, car now in Phoenix, Arizona, 95k miles, previously Chatham, Massachusetts.

Seller's description:

This Jaguar is a stunning example of an older, multi-year, complete restoration. The restoration was undertaken by its long-term owner of 33 years and was completed prior to 2015. The restoration included a bare metal repaint, all the chrome and brightwork was refinished or replaced, refinished interior, the engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, and exhaust were all rebuilt to exceptional condition. It has recently been serviced and is ready for touring and shows. This Jaguar began life on September 16, 1969. The original distributor was British Leyland, New York. The long-term owner of 33 years, Tim Lemna of Chatam, MA, acquired the E-Type in 1982 with 77,000 miles from new. It was driven sparingly in its original condition before undergoing a complete, multi-year restoration. The Jaguar was then acquired on January 17, 2015, by Jonathan Milioti and Don Gleasner with a total of 94,250 miles since new. The Jaguar was then acquired on April 16, 2015, by Stephane Rambuad of Chicago, IL. The current owner, Tony Peterson, of Oro Valley, AZ acquired the Jaguar on June 21, 2018, from Northshore Sportscars in Lake Bluff, IL. Mr. Peterson has maintained and enjoyed the Jaguar over the past 5-plus years. The gorgeous livery is Pale Primerose Yellow (Paint Code JAG137) which was a 3-year, bare metal repaint in 1995 to 1998 by Dan Henry in Decatur, IL. The paint is in beautiful condition with gorgeous luster and shine. There are very few paint imperfections that are only noticeable upon close inspection. The black canvas convertible top appears as near new and fits well as does the black canvas boot. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition and are wrapped in very sharp looking Dunlap redline radials. The chrome and brightwork are in very nice condition with very few imperfections. The livery shows very well overall and needs nothing to be toured and shown. The interior was refinished in black leather by Bill Bassett Jaguar in Wyoming, RI in 2001. The leather is soft and supple and is in very nice condition overall. There are slight imperfections only in the high use areas. The gauges are in nice condition, and all appear to function as designed. The teak steering wheel is in beautiful condition and accompanied by a telescopic steering column. The radio has been updated with a Bluetooth version. The engine compartment is well detailed and painted and is home to the matching numbers 4.2 Liter inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine, transmission and drivetrain were rebuilt by All Cape Machine Shop, a Jaguar specialty shop in Hyannis, MA in 2001. The engine starts immediately and runs very well and strong and is paired with numbers matching 4-speed manual transmission which operates smoothly and quietly. The undercarriage is also very clean and well detailed and shows well overall. This E-Type is accompanied with its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, spare tire, and numerous restoration photos. This Jaguar needs nothing to be enjoyed, shown, and toured. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
