Ebay item 9/22/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-Jaguar-XKE-30k-original-miles-Numbers-matchi ...
Current bid $15,100 reserve not met after 19 bids, seller faunlimited1, 32k miles.
Seller's description:
1969 Jaguar E-type roadster
32k orignal miles
All original metal
ZERO Rust,
original paint in engine bay and trunk.
Numbers matching.
Up for your consideration is this extremely solid and honest XKE Roadster.
The original owner of this cat was an Oil and Gas tycoon in Houston Texas, when he got older his son then acquired it and decided to start stripping the car to bare metal which is how you see it now. He then stalled and moved onto other interests.
This is one of the most original restoration projects I've seen in a while, The body has no damage, and other than the factory lead seams, and a few very small spots of filler where there were most likely small dings to smooth over, there is nothing to note.
The floors are impeccably solid, the sills are original and rust free as well. The trunk still shows original paint as well as the engine bay.
Just take a look at the Cleanliness of the suspension components, the cadmium plating is extremely clean, usually of cars with over 100k miles they are black and full of grease, the crevasses of the original engine are very clean, this is a true 32k mile example.
The engine turns over by hand, and was stored properly with oil in the cylinders.
The owners son vouched for the mileage, as well as the gentleman that was a close friend of his.
I have all lights, and front bumper assembly, heater core, and all engine pieces that are not pictured, I also have the passenger side seat frame. This car will make for a straight forward restoration project.
