Opening bid $20,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1969 Series II 4.2L. This XKE under went a full engine rebuild in 2003. The owner who sat out to do a full rebuild lost his job and this Jaguar sat in his garage for 5 years. It was then sold to the next owner who received most of the parts in boxes. He then began to put the car back together along with a few part that were required to make it run. Chassis# 1R10199 received: new tires, new soft-top, and added cushion to the seats, a plexiglass rear window and a rare hard-top that was later repainted to match the body.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
