This 1970 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was built on July 15, 1969 and distributed to the US via British Leyland of New York. It reportedly underwent a refurbishment in the 1990s and was acquired by the selling dealer in March 2023. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in green over tan leather upholstery. Equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, chrome 15” wire wheels, a tan soft top, a louvered clamshell hood, an analog clock, a heater, and an AM/FM radio. This XKE Series II is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, records, and a Pennsylvania title.
The car was delivered from the factory in British Racing Green and is said to have been repainted in the early 1990s. Features include a replacement tan soft top, chrome bumpers with overriders, a louvered clamshell hood, a left-side mirror, and dual polished exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by knock-off spinners and wrapped in 215/65 Kumho Solus tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears.
The bucket seats have been reupholstered in tan leather and are joined by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and replacement carpets. Interior details include crank windows, an analog clock, a heater, three-point seat belts, an AM/FM radio, and a Jaguar-branded shift knob.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and a suite of auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 77k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The Production Record Trace Certificate lists a manufacture date of July 15, 1969, along with factory colors and serial numbers.
The Pennsylvania title carries “Antique Vehicle” and “Out Of Country” brands.
