1965 car

Chassis 1E78745
Body 4E55062

This project car will make an ideal entry level project for someone entering the realms of e type ownership for the first time. We await a heritage certificate to confirm the original colours. I have personally inspected the car, the body shell is very good, also it appears still to have the original floors in good condition also the boot and rear under tray look very well preserved. The bonnet also looks very solid and in good order but as usual will probably require an under tray. Expect to rebuild the engine but it may be ok but that could not be ascertained on inspection. the transmission seems ok with all gears being selectable. It is pretty much complete. I could not get to the engine number or gear box number but I fully expect this to be matching numbers. S1 shape 2 plus 2 cars are now regularly achieving 75K plus prices. It is not as fashionable as the coupe, however they provide so many advantages for so many people. The leg room and height provide comfort ability for much taller people who are denied ownership of a classic E-type. Also, these cars have the additional seats so dad can share his passion with youngsters on board. Also great if you have pets or want to use the car for touring and events.
This is an easy and financially viable DIY restoration of a solid car worthy of a new life. The car will be priced sensibly to get another e type owner in the wonderful fraternity of classic British sports cars.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
