Ebay item 3/1/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $17,500, no reserve, 13 bids 5 days left in auction. 67k miles.
Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE coupe in British racing green with black leather interior. I purchased the car in 1995 from the original owner, i have driven with antique plates since, always garaged, cared for. The mileage is low, i have the clear title in my name. The original owner had the car stripped, repainted in 1988 with new wire wheels, leather interior. Very straight body, no accidents, paint is excellent for 1988. The car has no rust under floors or body, the only work necc. is the bottom of the doors have bubbles or paint blisters , the bottoms of the doors are perfect, i included pics. The car runs great and the auto tranny shifts fine, all gauges work, the clock needs a battery. This car was ordered with the automatic tranny & seat belts. I have all the documents of work done by previous owner. The carbs were changed to dual weber downdrafts, this is the only modification from oem besides the door mirrors & radio, antennae. All glass, trim, chrome, seals are very good condition. Brakes, booster, rotors, all new. Highway driven to 95 MPH with exc. manners, quiet drivetrain,no noises, will drive much faster. I am describing the car as correctly as i can without hiding any problems. This is a very nice xke, not show and not in need of much at all !

Car returns to ebay 4/30/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-SERIES-2-2-2-Coupe-British-Racing-Gre ...
Current bid $14,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in East Hampton, New York.
Sellers description:
This is the opportunity to own a classic 1968 Jaguar XKE (E Type) Series 2, 2+2 Coupe, in British Racing Green, with wire wheels, which is in very good condition with 76,000 miles on the odometer.
The car is kept year round in a garage, and it has been looked after by a professional classic car mechanic every year. The car is registered with Historic NY plates and has passed the the NY State Inspection every year. The Jaguar drives well (we use it most weekends for a few glorious miles around the local area) and it is a pleasure to drive as new carburetors, battery and an automatic choke mean the car starts easily, and still has the classic E Type acceleration!
The car has been owned by three owners and is in great condition with the original interior, including both seat rows and seat belts. There is some bubbling of the paintwork on the bottom edge of the doors, as shown in the photographs, however the rest of the car and paintwork is good with some minor scratches, and a small dent on the rear right.
Sadly having to sell due to increasing family size.
