Original color Beige, with maroon interior. Ex owner C. Becner (CA, USA) 16.11.87-6.9.1999. Car imported to Germany 28.10.1999 by R. Heitjohann (air conditioning was taken out and lights were replaced by H4 lights and front indicator lences were changed to the european ones, car repainted over the US thermo lack :(, interior was replaced totally with green (Audi) leather). The car was sold to K. Stefanski 29.1.2002 (bonnet repainted after an accident) and further to Sami Pitkänen 18.9.2002. The current gearbox is BW12 (revision October 2002), Alternator was rebuilt to original type October 2002. Wire wheels were replaced by Dayton wire wheels 2003. The cooling system was rebuilt to high performance net and new fan motors August 2003. The motor (XJ6 SIII) was revised April 2004 (3x45 DCHO Weber, fast road camshafts, electronic ignition (XJ6 SIII),big bore stailess steel exhaust with tubular manifold, oil cooler (XJ6 SIII), adjustable reaction plate). 1.5.2004 the car was moved by S. Pitkänen to the Netherlands and the front brakes were rebuilt (Wilwood). August 2005 the chassis was stripped from paint (finally got rid of the US thermo lack, rear panels were replaced (corrosion) and repainted, part of the chrome parts were replated, new windshield and new fabric to the inner roof.

Hi, it was nice to see your car again, BTW according to Clausager's "Factory-original Jaguar E-type" Beige was an original factory colour, very rare, only 262 cars painted this way between March 1967 and July 1968, interior could have been Beige, Black, Light Tan, Red or the Tan your car had which is very brown, in the old days with a certain grain available as "Pigskin Grain Tan". In 1964-1968 Pale Primrose was the 3rd most popular colour, next to OSG and Cream!
