Seller's description:

1967 Jaguar E Type

condition: fair

cylinders: 6 cylinders

fuel: gas

odometer: 44350

paint color: green

title status: clean

transmission: manual

Extremely original 1967 Jaguar E Type. Original paint, original interior, 4 speed, air conditioning, matching numbers engine, power steering and chrome wire wheels. This would have been about the most expensive E Type you could have bought in 1967.

Floors are great. It has a rock solid body other than driver's quarter panel / rocker and some in the nose. It is a very correct car.

It was wrecked on the driver's front decades ago, some repairs were made and then it was put into storage. It should be completely restored, but it is an excellent starting point. The engine is matching numbers, but it is stuck.

If you want a Series 1 E Type on a budget this may be your car. Please contact me for more information. Trades considered. I can help arrange delivery.

I just looked at the title, and the VIN reads: 71E77551. Something is wrong here. It would be nice to straighten this out before I go for a new title

I bought this car recently and it is indeed what was advertised. I was not prepared for the under-hood, as it had not been touched in many years. The front frame rails had been replaced, and they took no care in doing that,as most wires in the harness were cut or torn out of the way, as was the hoses and vacuum lines, as well as the brake system. All apart. I just went by the pictures (big mistake when buying a car) and bought it sight unseen. Two different vin numbers; obviously a mistake or misreading of the ID plate. No big deal, as the car must be inspected in my state, and the new, Kentucky title will be correct.

I am the new owner, and just finished the title application and the new title is on the way. It is registered in Kentucky. I have done nothing to the car, and it is 'as delivered' and ready for someone to make it nice again. Really a good car to start on.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
