Engine to this car is now listed on EBay:

    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

Description: The Serial number for this motor is 7E53129-9 or 8 can’t make out last number for sure it is a 4.2 liter motor. Other markings on the motor are C3 and 9-1-67 The head has DA646 stamped on top and on the under side it has 230 1MM7280 C26200C V7 stamped into it. It can be read on underside photo of head This motor came out of a 1968 Jaguar coupe. I got the vehicle in a swap, so I know little about history of the car except it has considerable rust and was last titled in 91. How long it was driven after last titling I don’t know. It appears that someone started to do some restoration to vehicle including motor and didn’t get very far. what they did do, is clean this motor very well down to the nuts and bolts and paint it. Carbon has been removed from head and pistons. The cams were on the head but not bolted down. It came with a bag of bolts that appear to complete the motor but I cannot Guarantee every nut and bolt is there. Timing chains and timing gears included. Exhaust manifold included. Sorry no Carbs. Distributor included but rough no cap on it. This motor has been stored in a dusty environment so a complete teardown, cleaning, and rebuild is suggested. The motor turns freely and seems to be a great candidate for rebuilding.

BTW, the above engine auction shows it (the engine) as being located in Keene, VA

Auction text for the engine stated the car was a 1968 so I put that down for the "year on title" field.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
