This car's somewhat chequered history is detailed in a letter to the Jaguar Driver magazine January 1995 from its then owner, Dr Gilbert Fielder of the U.K.
Originally British Racing Green and registered MJO 123 it went to the USA with its serviceman owner, Edward Grubb of South Carolina. Re-patriated to the UK circa 1990 and bought by Dr Fielder and restored by 1993. The early stages of restoration are detailed in Jaguar Driver magazine February 1991.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
