Hi, perfectly possible, I have not seen the chassis number, I added the clearly visible body number that starts with "4E". I hope someone can verify this, perhaps the JHT. And it would great to also verify one if not more of the cars in the earlier colour shots from 1966, body 4E51312 IIRC. Cheers!

Here's what my Dad says about the car;
I bought it from a guy in Hadnal, Shropshire and I paid 250 pounds and drove it away.
I spent hours though restoring and Roy Jones welded the panels, your mum will remember Roy drove you to the hospital when you fell down the stairs at the flat, Roy was welding then. I spent weeks filling and shaping the body and wished I'd never started, you couldn't get panels then to restore.
But he did finish it and the beauty in the picture is testament to the work he did on it. I hope it's still around somewhere

DVLA records indicate this car was exported from UK in 2013 - where is it now?
Lovely to have the happy factory shot, which also appears on p459 of Jaguar E-type The Definitive History by Philip Porter - how many surviving E-types can now claim to have a photo during construction?
