Car for sale at Mather Collectable Motor Cars of Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, The abbreviated description of the car offered for sale is of a charming 2 plus 2 which benefits from years of restorative work. Finished in primrose yellow with a black interior. Mechanically the vehicle is well sorted, driving just as it should. The brakes are strong and the steering sensitive, the engine pulls well and all gear changes are smooth including overdrive. An opportunity to purchase a well presented and useable example of this legendary British sports car. Two extensive tours of Europe have recently been enjoyed by the former keeper who reports it was a joy throughout both trips. A comprehensive bear metal rebuild was carried in the 1980's to a high standard with receipts for the work and photographic record of the restoration. A full exterior restoration was undertaken by Devon Classic Cars in 2007. The paintwork is slightly blemished in small areas of the lower body. First registered on 12 July 1966 the current mileage is 114.700 miles. £42,950.

Does anyone know where this car is now? My family owned it when it was almost new and I have some great pictures of my sister with it circa 1966/67 which I would love to share with its current owner...

Paul, if you can please post the photos here for all to see. All we can do from here is check the DVLA to see if FNE989D is currently registered and the result is yes until 1 September 2024.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
