Title work for this coupe would indicate Fair Hooker was the original owner. Mr. Hooker was a wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns beginning with the 1969 football season. He played six seasons and a total of 74 games for the Browns. It would appear he then sold the car to Don Harrington of Apple Creek, Ohio in 1973. Mr. Harrington eventually sold the car to Jay Cutler of Minerva, Ohio in 1990 who then sold it to the present owner in 1998. The car appears to be in original condition - with A/C - other than having been repainted the oringinal color at some point.

Car was completely disassembled and taken to bare metal and repainted. Mechanically, it was rebuilt. Engine was rebuilt and Stromberg carbs were replaced with three SUs as per European specs. Interior was replaced with interior supplied by Mick Turley (UK). Some major upgrades were done: brakes, radiator, alternator, and Tremec 5 speed transmission.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
