This stunning car is a premium Jaguar XK E-Type 4.2L Fixed Head Coupe which was owned and pampered by a highly respected member of our community and restored from the bottom up.
Its exterior has been refinished to Old English white, every piece of chrome is secure and void of dents or pitting and the car looks like it rarely left the garage.
The interior is completely rebuilt and finished in 'natural' color leather - Jaguar's hue name is ''Cashmere''. The entire interior (including door panels, rear hatch luggage compartment and all other supporting surfaces) was taken out and rebuilt; along with the seats, portions of the console, steering wheel and shift boot which were covered in soft Connoly hides. The upper dash, under-dash, kick panels, door panels and console perfectly match with very high quality vinyl. Carpeting throughout the cabin is expertly finished in a plush, high grade matching color and the headliner is made of a very high quality, gorgeous moleskin of a slightly lighter hue. The entire interior restoration is impeccable - nothing left undone, a first rate job.
The Cashmere interior colors offset the bright white exterior exquisitely and is very pleasing to the eye. Black intrument panels, switches, gauges, knobs and dials stand out beautifully.
The rear hatch opens to the left, permitting access to a totally rebuilt luggage compartment area, also restored and refinished in the natural leather color vinyl, with matching protective luggage glide strips. Below the luggage compartment, the original 5th wire spoke wheel spare tire is stored, complete with the original knock-off brass/lead-head hammer!
This very fine classic Jaguar XK E-Type 4.L Coupe is also in exceptional mechanical condition. The car has only 104K pampered miles on the chassis, less than 2K on the rebuilt engine and drives like a fully restored E-Type should - which is to say, better than it did new! The car starts instantly, it idles like velvet, accelerates smoothly (serious low-end torque) and shifts crisply. This is a very strong and powerful coupe that corners very tightly and doesn't creak, rattle, shake nor smoke.
It has been driven approximately 1500 miles since the engine, gearbox, fuel delivery system and twin SU carburetors were totally rebuilt by ''qualified Jaguar specialists'' and the car runs like a dream. The entire braking system has been completely overhauled, including replacement of all eight calipers, brake lines, brake master cylinder and brake servo assembly. It was fitted with a new water pump, the fluids have been flushed and filled throughout and even the original Jaguar wire wheels are in very good condition.
Unless you intend to enter and win 1st place in a concours-level car show, this vehicle needs nothing except someone who desires a beautifully restored, mechanically sound and dependable classic XK E-Type; a fortunate new owner who will inherit instant sex-appeal without having to go through the trials and tribulations, as well as the incredible time and expense, of a sub-99 point restoration.
There are no prior collisions, no known defects (past or present). All power/electrical equipment and every option functions properly. The package includes an additional tire (all 5 + spare = 6 are in very good condition) and our dealership stands by the odometer reading.
With zero bids so far the starting price is US $14,000.00 (Reserve not met)
There is also a Buy-It-Now price of US $19,988.00

Sellers description:
I have owned this 1968 Jaguar E Type Series 1 1/2 coupe since September, 2003 and during that time have driven it 2600 miles. The previous owner bought it in 1988 and completely restored it after which he drove it less that 2000 miles before I purchased it. The car was restored as original except for a few items (interior color is on dash instead of black, bullet mirrors on fenders instead of on doors, and splayed resonators). Even though the car has Zenith Stomberg carburators (new for 1968), the car has incredible low end torque. The Series 1 1/2 still has the body of the Series 1. There are many, including me, who consider the styling of the E Type Series 1 fixed head coupe to be the pinnicle of Jaguars artistic expression. This car is extremely tight; there are absolutely no bumps, rattles or squeaks. It is not a concurs-level vehicle but close. It is a very solid 2. The interior is almost flawless. The paint is probably 25 years old but is still glossy except for a few small areas and no scratchs or dings. The chrome is all secure and 85-90% of original brightness with no dings or pitting. To drive this vehicle is to know what a true Jaguar driving experience is. Why am I selling it? I have too many vehicles and I need to simplify my life. This car has no issues, everything works including the clock (it loses 3 minutes a year).

I bought this car from Mark R. Green. It is now (Aug 2010) in the Netherlands in my garage and it just past the roadworthyness test. The car is a real beauty. I only had to do some minor repairs and changed all fluids and ignition parts (major service). It is ready for the road and I am driving it with a big smile on my face. I have a JDHT certificate.

I have owned this car since 2010. Since then I have overhauled the engine completely, done some welding on the bottom, have retrofitted glas covered headlight (original set), have had a original Webasto Montecarlo Folding roof fitted, upgraded the dashboard with brushed alu and a stiffer steering wheel, and fitted a full stainless steel exhaust bigbore front to end. It is a joy to drive.
