Ebay item 11/13/23
Opening bid $30,000, reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction, seller amclassicsusa, 2k miles stated, car is now in the Netherlands
Seller's description:
Very nice Jaguar E-type coupe, also called XKE. This copy is a very early one of the second series (Series II) from 1968. It's equipped with the beautiful 'covered headlights' as the Series I. Also equipped with a manual gearbox which is in line with the sporty character of the car. That sporty character is also reflected in the 4.2 inline 6 engine, which is equipped with 3-double SU carburettors (recently overhauled and adjusted).
Perhaps the most special option on this E-type is the original air conditioning system. There are very few on the road that were equipped with this option from factory. And perhaps even more special is the fact that the AC still works. Enjoy a cool tour in a hot summer month! The car drives well, it is not a competition car and the price reflects that. The paintwork is not great and there are some signs of wear here and there. However this is an E-type you can simply drive without having to worry about one more or less scratch.
This car comes with the original American registration certificate (title).
